Rubber Maker Sulphur
Sulphur has been used in the rubber making industry since the 1800s.
It is used to give the rubber compound hardness, allowing it to be moulded but retaining elasticity. Pencil erasers, rubber bumpers, tyres, and latex gloves are all made using sulphur in different quantities and heat variations.
Rubber maker sulphur is available milled to a size ranging from 100 to 325 mesh (ASTM). Conditioning agents are added to improve flow ability, handling and dispersion characteristics. Oil may be added as a dust suppressant, while flow agents prevent caking.
